 In my practice, the line between artist and material is intentionally blurred. I often wonder if I chose wood, or if wood chose me. My process is a daily conversation with the grain, texture, and scent of each unique specimen; I let the wood dictate its own evolution. On any given day, a piece may reveal itself as a functional object or a purely sculptural form. By embracing the natural cracks and imperfections, I aim to create work that reflects a shared authenticity between the wood and me.
