What does “gallery wrapped” mean?
Gallery wrapping is a method of stretching canvas so that it wraps around the sides of stretcher bars and is secured to the back of the wooden frame. Artwork that is gallery wrapped can hang without a frame. Some artists choose to paint the sides of the canvas a specific color, some allow the paint to drip over the sides, and some have the painting continue over the sides. In most cases, the sides of gallery wrapped canvases are visible in our product images and description.

What is a floater frame?
A floater frame is a style of frame where the art is mounted from behind making it appear as if it is not touching or “floating” within the frame. It’s only offered for works on gallery-wrapped canvas and is usually deeper than a traditional frame,
as it has to cover the stretcher bars to which the artwork is mounted.
