Gundega Stevens

Gundega Stevens has always had a love for the arts. Growing up in a house where the walls were covered from floor to ceiling "salon-style" with artwork it seemed fitting to study more about it in college. Graduating from CU Boulder with a BA in Art History she then moved to Milwaukee where she earned her Masters in Art History at UWM. While studying there she began working at the Milwaukee Art Museum as an Assistant Curator in Contemporary Art. But her dream was to eventually have her own art gallery and she moved back home to Colorado.

That dream became reality when she opened G44 Gallery in September 2012, a space that featured local and regional artists and artisans with an emphasis on abstract contemporary and contemporary realism work.

Gundega has curated hundreds of shows locally and nationally. She has served as a juror on countless exhibits in Colorado Springs and strives to bring local and regional artists to the forefront of the national art scene.
