Nature has always been a huge part of my life. It keeps me balanced, grounds me, and feeds my soul. There is something about being outside, surrounded by mountains, trees, water, light, and the quiet, that allows me to slow down and simply be present.

Photography has become the way I hold onto that feeling.

I have learned to photograph nature in a way that feels meditative to me, particularly, flora and fauna. I am drawn to the quiet moments, the subtle details, the changing light, and the spaces that invite you to pause. My goal is to capture that feeling, the stillness, the beauty, and the sense of connection I experience when I am immersed in nature.

When I cannot physically be in those places, my photographs allow me to return to them. They become a reminder of the peace I find there, and an invitation for others to slow down and find their own moment of stillness within the image.

I received my BFA in Fine Art Photography from Rochester Institute of Technology and also studied photography and graphic design at Colorado Mountain College. After graduating in 2003, I began my career as a photographer, initially focusing on people and the intimate stories of their lives.

Over the years, my creative practice evolved alongside my work in the arts community. In 2011, I opened my first physical gallery in Colorado Springs, and in 2019 moved the gallery to its current downtown location. Through my work as an artist, curator, and gallery owner, I have had the privilege of being deeply connected to the creative community of the Pikes Mountain Region.
