  • Lines Without Limits with Chris Alvarez

Create abstract art guided by your imagination.

Let music and your subconscious lead the way as you experiment with
non-representational shapes, colors, and marks to fill the page. This is a
chance to play, explore, and express freely—no need to represent the real
world. We'll listen to a variety of musical genres—jazz, classical, electronic,
bluegrass, and more—and use the rhythms, moods, and textures as inspiration for
your visual compositions. Let the sound guide your hand and see where your
    creativity takes you. Supplies included.

    When: August 16th, 12:30-4:30pm

Where: Auric Gallery, 125 E Boulder Street, CSC 80903

    Cost: $175

  • Girl Dinner

Girl Dinner, starting as a viral internet craze around how girls eat when no one is around, has since led the artist on a material investigation of the nuances of femininity as a thing defined by hunger. The way womxn and femme folks have kept their plates empty to take up less space at the table is an age-old tale. This story transpires as a larger conversation about traditions, gender roles and commodification.

GIRL DINNER is a culinary collaboration between Ephemera and the artist, Jasmine Dillavou.

5 creative courses will take the guest on an exploratory journey through these ideas in this high-concept immersive dining experience.

Tickets $103/person, 5 courses, 5 pairings. Due to the conceptual elements of this experience, dietary restrictions will be limited. Please @EphemeraDinners.com for questions.

    WHEN:

  • Non Book Club Book Club

(NBCBC) is a group of Colorado Springs based Artists, Musicians, Poets, Filmakers, Chefs, Nerds, Weirdo's, etc. whose goal is to meet monthly to share and communicate ideas; by swapping books, articles, web links, play lists and experiences.

This event was created in order to break down the traditional ideas of learning found in school systems while also bridging art cliques in COS.

We feel the most important information out there is what individuals curate into their own lives. We want to create and aid in the construction of safe places for open discussion and free expression.

NBCBC meets at Auric Gallery on the 3rd Sunday of every month at 7pm.
