Collection: Felicia Kelly

Felicia Kelly is first and foremost a human being. Everything she creates is made by hand, either by her, or with help from her husband, another human being. All of the materials are sourced by their hands and all of the ideas originate in her brain. Her brain, by the way, spent four years at the University of Northern Colorado along with the rest of her human body. Her art making practice is deeply shaped by education and unlearning the rules of art school. Her main inspiration is other humans, usually women, typically ones who have been silenced in some way. Her hands typed these words and her heart thanks you for reading them. You can find her in her 1920s home studio creating collages, drawing flowers, stitching fabric, painting dreamscapes, and caring for the wild birds in her backyard.
