Introspection
ɪntrəˈspekʃən, noun
The observation of one’s own mental and emotional processes
During the long and challenging past two years dealing with the unprecedented pandemic, I found myself with time to reflect. When the busy life and the constant going and doing comes to a stall, one can’t help but look deeply and examine what really matters.
What do I want my life to look like once we get back to “normal”?
What are the lessons and blessings in this time of pause and reset?
I am grateful for my life and the safety of my friends and family, emerging with a greater sense of appreciation for gathering and community, casual talks over a glass of wine, a spontaneous hug, a brilliant smile.
The silver lining of a life interrupted is the reminder that all we really have is now….
So what is it that you want to do with your one and only precious life?
I want to paint.
I want to express myself through colors and layers and textures.
I want to emote and provoke.
I want to encourage and challenge.
I want to embrace the light and the darkness.
I want to become more fully me.
