Collection: Judith Marie - Miscellaneous

miscellaneous —things of different sorts—

I collect happy moments in my brain and am always watching out to find the next one. Those moments that resonate with me the most are usually expressed in my art. The colorful art I create is the combination of those memories and the effort needed to make art that often feels like play to me. A common thread in the graphite drawings is vulnerability. They display my affection and concern for teens and birds, both of which are threatened in our current world. During twenty-five years of teaching art to teens in public schools, the challenge of nurturing them toward maturity was offset by the joy of having positive interactions with most of them which created happy moments.
