Collection: Chelsea Boucher - in studio: love letters to the muse
Born in California, a resident of Colorado, Boucher's work is largely abstract and minimal, aiming to allow avenues of interpretation rather than demand a specific reaction from the viewer. This sort of "choose your own adventure" presentation allows the work to have a life of its own, where the viewers' involvement is on an equal plane with the artist's.
For me, being in-studio is almost entirely about process and environment. The music I’m listening to, the lighting, materials strewn about waiting to converse. Not being devoted to a single medium it’s also a time of mystery, as I never quite know how concepts and muses will develop and manifest into finished work. This collection is an offering in humility and gratitude to that elusive spark that makes everything possible.
