Collection: Beauty in the Breakdown
Chelsea Boucher
From the moment of conception, this body of work was at the mercy of its timing and environment; each mark directed by each moment of the reality it found itself born into. The process of painting became the process of navigating my own human experience of the last eight months, both physical and emotional; the actions of creating the work allowed for expression and release of the considerable load carried, at once soft and complex.
Through these works I have explored the tides and heights of my own humanness, and emerged appreciative of the richness in an invitation into the most intimate of human worlds, inextricably bound by grief and splendor.
