Statement: For the past year, I have returned to familiar places to watch the moon rise and set. Revisiting the same landscapes day after day has become a way of observing not only the changing light and shifting horizon, but also the quiet passage of time within my own life.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"MsoNormal\"\u003eCreated from torn paper, oil paint, drawing, and layered marks, these works evolve through repeated observation. Like the landscapes they depict, they are constructed slowly, each layer recording moments of looking, remembering, and returning. The torn edges mirror processes of erosion and renewal, revealing that change is not a single event but an accumulation of small transformations.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"MsoNormal\"\u003eAs I have grown older, I have become increasingly aware of life's recurring rhythms. The lunar cycle offers a measure of time that is both ancient and deeply personal, connecting the vastness of the natural world with the changing seasons of our own lives. These drawings and paintings are an invitation to slow down, look closely, and consider how the cycles of the moon, the landscape, and the human experience continually shape one another. Bio: Meghan Wilbar has always been drawn to the landscape as a subject matter.  She works with a pared down sensibility to capture the experience of the land and sky through torn paper and drawn line. She received her MFA from the New York Studio School in 2005 and her BA from Knox College in 2002. She has received numerous artist in residences including the Chautauqua Institute Intensive Studio Program, Spiro Arts Foundation, Jentel Arts Foundation, History Colorado and the Wurlitzer Foundation. In 2016, she received a Colorado Creative Industries grant in support of her \u003ci\u003eVeins of Steel \u003c\/i\u003eproject: a project chronicling the mining industry in Southern Colorado.  Her works are included in the corporate collections of Denver Hilton Gardens, Westin Hotel, Parkview Hospital, University of Colorado Art Museum as well as numerous private
